Thickness and dimensional checks on the line
The three micrometer photographs show local thickness readings of 5.913mm, 5.968mm and 5.931mm on material ordered at a nominal thickness of 6mm. These point checks are assessed against the order’s agreed specification and applicable thickness tolerance.
Width and length were also checked with a tape during processing. The photographs show the checks for the nominal 1524mm width and 6096mm length. The sheet edges and tape positions are retained in the photographs so buyers can see the measurement setup.
PMI screening alongside the mill records
The handheld analyzer displays a 304 alloy identification, with chromium at 18.58% and nickel at 8.23% in the photographed reading. This provides an on-site alloy screening result alongside the mill documentation. The displayed PMI values are specific to that test and are separate from the chemical analysis reported on the mill certificate.
