PRECISION LEVELLING & SHEARING
SUMIKURA precision cut-to-length line
Precision levelling, shearing and controlled stacking turn cold-rolled stainless steel coils into sheets ready for fabrication. The SUMIKURA line combines close dimensional control with film application and full-surface paper interleaving.
¹ Thickness capacity depends on the material-strength bands in the rated specifications below.
Surface protection
Top-surface film or simultaneous top-and-bottom film, with edge-aligned or overhanging film configurations. Bottom-side paper interleaving provides full sheet coverage.
Flatness control
For suitable incoming material, the line can reduce flatness deviation to one-fifth of the incoming level. The measurement method and acceptance criterion are agreed for the order.
Accurate stacking
Sheet-to-sheet offset below 0.5 mm and overall stack offset below 1.2 mm support aligned packs for handling and downstream production.

Material strength by thickness
| Thickness (mm) | Tensile strength | Yield strength |
|---|---|---|
| 0.4–3.0 | ≤950 MPa | ≤650 MPa |
| 3.1–4.0 | ≤700 MPa | ≤500 MPa |
¹ Thickness capacity depends on tensile and yield strength. Material properties are reviewed before order acceptance.
Maximum cutting speed
| Thickness (mm) | Line speed |
|---|---|
| 0.4–2.0 | Up to 80 m/min |
| 2.1–4.0 | Up to 45 m/min |
Thicknesses between the stated bands require a specific setup review.
Flatness improvement is relative to the incoming coil; it is not an absolute mm/m guarantee.
Maximum dimensions, material strength, speed and tightest tolerances are assessed together for each order.
