16–50 mm is the regular stock thickness range. Current grade, width, quantity and dispatch availability are confirmed at quotation.

Mill surface codes and decorative finish names are confirmed against the agreed description or sample. Additional processing depends on the grade, thickness and required finish.

Identify material and plate route

Sheye Metal offers 310Si2 stainless steel plate under the full designation 16Cr25Ni20Si2. Supply includes plates cut from hot-rolled coil and quarto plate, with separate dimensional ranges. State the required production route, thickness, width, length and quantity so the proposed material and processing arrangement can be reviewed together.

Agree the standard for that route

The coil-cut supply route is based on GB/T 4238. Quarto plate requires a separate review of the requested GB/T 4238 or pressure-purpose specification, including the applicable part and edition. State the required delivery condition and material certificate explicitly; the acceptance basis should follow the actual product route selected for the order.

Define the delivered plate condition

The surface basis is NO.1 or 1D. Specify dimensional tolerances, flatness and edge requirements, including any cutting or machining allowance for finished components. Provide material identification and supplementary inspection requirements during quotation. Confirm the route, dimensions, documentation and packaging before purchase so the supplied plate can be checked against an agreed specification.

Buying 310Si2 Cut-to-Length and Quarto Plate

Why should a 310Si2 plate enquiry distinguish coil-cut and quarto routes?

The coil-cut route uses the GB/T 4238 basis of the hot-rolled mother coil. Quarto plate is separately rolled and needs its own review of GB/T 4238 or the requested pressure-purpose specification, including the applicable part and edition. The same grade name does not make the two order descriptions identical. Identify the route, dimensions, delivery condition and inspection documents together so acceptance follows the material actually supplied.

Which service details matter for a welded 310Si2 plate component?

Provide the metal temperature, expected duration, atmosphere and loading, including self-weight, supports and thermal cycling. Resistance to scaling alone does not establish resistance to sagging or creep. Describe the weld arrangement and any intended repair or post-fabrication treatment as part of the review. If the component is pressure-bearing, the selected material and evidence must meet the governing design specification; a related-alloy temperature rating is insufficient.
