Use 16Cr25Ni20Si2 together with the agreed GB/T 4238 edition, delivery condition and inspection documents. This offered route is hot-rolled coil; a reference to 314 or 310S alone does not identify the intended supply. Coil dimensions and handling requirements should be linked to the downstream operation, with the heat identity retained when the coil is slit or cut. The chemical designation and actual certificate provide the acceptance basis.
What information helps when coil will become furnace components?
Describe the cutting, forming and welding sequence and the final component’s atmosphere, thermal cycle and load. A coil selected for its high-silicon alloy design still needs review against the finished part’s requirements. State the surface condition, edge requirements and protection needed during processing. Where acceptance depends on heat treatment or grain size, agree those requirements before cutting rather than relying on a general high-temperature description.
