16–50 mm is the regular stock thickness range. Current grade, width, quantity and dispatch availability are confirmed at quotation.
Mill surface codes and decorative finish names are confirmed against the agreed description or sample. Additional processing depends on the grade, thickness and required finish.
PRODUCT DETAILS
Specify 310S Stainless Steel Plate for your process
310S hot rolled stainless steel plate for your production
Choose coil-cut plate for material cut to length from hot-rolled coil, or quarto plate for individually rolled plate. Tell us if your drawing or material specification requires a particular production route. Thickness alone does not define that requirement.
Our usual mill sources are TISCO, TSINGSHAN, PZSS and ESS. No.1 is a hot-rolled, annealed and pickled finish. Confirm the required surface and edge condition when ordering, especially if the plate will be welded, machined or used as a visible component.
As your 310S stainless steel plate provider, Sheye can coordinate material selection, custom cutting and the agreed inspection records in one enquiry.
Standard plates and custom cut sizes
Start with the size your workshop needs. We supply common 1500 × 6000 mm plates and offer laser cutting to customer dimensions.

Send a dimensioned drawing and quantity
Specify whether the dimensions are finished sizes or blanks with machining allowance. Cutting feasibility, tolerances, edge condition and layout are confirmed for the requested thickness and quantity.
Readable marking for the 14 mm plate: ASTM A240, 310S, No.1 and 1500 × 6000 mm.
Looking for 310S stainless steel plate in stock?
Send the thickness, width, length, quantity and preferred mill for a stock check. Our photographs show material handled by Sheye, including nominal 6, 10, 12 and 14 mm plates at 1500 × 6000 mm, plus 35 mm plate at 1500 × 3000 mm. They illustrate actual supply and inspection work; available quantities and dispatch dates are confirmed with the quotation.
For quarto plate, 16–50 mm is the regular stock thickness range shown in our supply schedule. Ask us to check the exact combination before planning production.

Check the plate, then match the paperwork
Agree the inspection scope before the material is cut or dispatched:
Identification: check the grade, dimensions and heat marking against the order and mill test certificate (MTC).
Dimensions: specify thickness, width, length, flatness and any cutting tolerances that matter to your process.
Material verification: use PMI for an alloy check and the heat-linked MTC for the reported chemistry and mechanical results.
Cut pieces: agree how heat identity and piece numbers will be retained after cutting.
310S No.1 plate marked 6 × 1500 × 6000 mm, with ASTM A240 and heat identification.
XRF alloy check on the 6 × 1500 × 6000 mm plate. Check carbon content against the matching mill certificate.
The handheld XRF screens in these photos display 310. XRF checks elements such as chromium and nickel, but it does not measure carbon. The screen label alone therefore cannot confirm the carbon requirement for 310S; use the matching MTC and any additional carbon test required by your order.
310S No.1 plate marked 12 × 1500 × 6000 mm with heat identification.
XRF alloy inspection on the 12 × 1500 × 6000 mm plate. Check carbon content against the matching mill certificate.
Mill test certificate examples
Review four redacted examples from our usual mill sources. Customer and transaction details have been removed; the original technical results, test notes and issuing mill identity are retained.
All four documents cover historical hot-rolled coil or strip batches. They illustrate source-material records for the coil-cut route, not quarto plate certification. They are not presented as certificates for the photographed plates or a new order. For delivery, request the MTC that matches your supplied material.
T/B = top/bottom test positions in the PZSS samples. TISCO and ESS report A50; TSINGSHAN and PZSS state a 50 mm gauge length. TISCO also reports A5 = 47.0%, which is a different test basis and is not used in this table. Tensile direction and other conditions are retained in each sample; ESS and TSINGSHAN do not state tensile direction or temperature in these rows.
The TISCO example states that its batch was for domestic sales in China only and was not permitted for export. It is included solely as a historical technical reference. An export order requires separately confirmed material and its corresponding MTC.
TISCO · Redacted reference sample GB/T 713.7-2023, ASTM A240M-22 Historical domestic-only batch. The original prohibits export; this is a technical reference, not an export shipment certificate.
TSINGSHAN · Redacted reference sample ASTM A240/A240M (edition not printed) Historical source-coil/strip sample. Reference only; not a certificate for a new order or for quarto plate.
PZSS · Redacted reference sample ASTM A240/A240M-2023:310S Historical source-coil/strip sample. Reference only; not a certificate for a new order or for quarto plate.
ESS · Redacted reference sample ASTM A240M-2023 Historical source-coil/strip sample. Reference only; not a certificate for a new order or for quarto plate.
Compare the grade, standard edition, product form and test basis before comparing individual values. A higher number in one sample does not establish that one mill is better than another. The full examples retain the additional chemical elements and test details.
Buying 310S for heat service
310S is used for furnace and heat-treatment components. Share the operating temperature, atmosphere, thermal cycling and load conditions with your designer. Oxidation resistance and room-temperature MTC results do not establish an allowable long-term load or service life.
For welded assemblies, define the joint design, filler, welding procedure and required examination before ordering. See our 310S material selection and fabrication guide for the wider grade discussion.
